Giving Week 2023

We are forever indebted to our teachers. They prayed with and for us at mass and during lauds every day. They truly loved us and desired the best for us. Each teacher has given so much of themselves, and has left a permanent mark on our lives. Every teacher at this school loves what they teach and expertly leads and guides each student. They have all given us individual attention and support.

Dear Friends and Families of SJI,

With gratitude to God for our fifth anniversary of opening, we are pleased to announce that St. Jerome Institute’s fourth annual Giving Week will begin Monday, October 9th.

Even though SJI is still quite young, we have already started to see the tremendous impact this school has had on our students’ lives. Our graduates are not only very well prepared for their specific college programs, but they are also ready to live virtuously and responsibly in service of their families and the common good. For example, SJI alumna, Ellie Richards, a junior majoring in English and philosophy at the University of Dallas shares:

“I will treasure the memories of The Good and The Beautiful that I encountered through literature, conversation, and community at St. Jerome Institute for the rest of my life. Those memories serve as an intellectual and spiritual lighthouse for me, and I know that no matter how far I travel, I will have a bright, inextinguishable light to guide me home.”

It is my belief that this is only the beginning of the great and beautiful fruit that SJI will produce.

The superior quality of SJI’s education has also borne fruit in increased demand. With the 2023-2024 academic year, SJI had to cap our admissions and create a waitlist for prospective students. In order to maintain this trajectory of growth, we ask that you prayerfully consider making a financial contribution during Giving Week. Your contributions will help us to attract and retain excellent teachers and staff and continue the noble work of providing a humane, Catholic liberal education to as many students as possible.

We will conclude Giving Week with our annual Fall Festival, where we will enjoy music, food, and games, and the fellowship of our community. Be on the lookout for more information about the Fall Festival on October 14th, including how to sign up for the Apple Pie Contest!

On behalf of the SJI faculty and students, I wish you a blessed feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and thank you for your continued prayers and support.

In Domino,

Dr. Andrew Shivone
