Dear Friends of the St. Jerome Institute,
As the great Italian friar and mystic, St. Francis of Assisi, once said, “For it is in giving that we receive.” I’m sure you can relate to that sentiment, after joyfully watching with pride as our school has flourished over the past year. Thanks to your generous support we have achieved so many incredible things: we increased enrollment from fifteen students in 2019 to forty-one students this year and we are optimistic for next year as prospective students flood our campus for visits this fall. We are also blessed to be housed in a beautiful campus which has undergone a number of renovations and the addition of a new classroom. We welcomed new members to our faculty who all have a great capacity for wonder, deep humility, great courage, and are excellent role models to the young men and women in their care. The blessings we have received are endless and our ability to give back only grows!
Today we are asking you to participate in our annual Giving Week and continue to support our thriving school. Dr. Maria Marta Ferreyra and her husband, Mr. Jeffrey Reminga, offered a $5,000 matching gift and our community met this challenge. An anonymous donor proposed to increase the challenge on Our Lady of the Rosary Feast day with another matching gift of $5,000, increasing the total matching funds to $10,000! All gifts will be doubled for a total of $20,000 which helps us arrive at our overall goal of $50,000! Clearly, Our Lady is busy interceding for us. We also invite you to enroll in the Society for the Renewal of the the Catholic Mind, an exciting new forum that brings our mission to transform Catholic education to a broader audience. We are excited to offer membership to anyone who donates a fully tax deductible gift of $150 or more.
The society recently held a lecture featuring Dean Thomas Smith and Dr. Anna Moreland, who gave a wonderful presentation to over one hundred guests on adulting and their soon to be released book, The College Guide to Adulting: How to Major in Life. You can listen to the lecture by clicking below. Please join us for more exciting events planned for 2021-2022 and support our school, which is recognized as a beacon for the renewal of Catholic education!
On behalf of the SJI faculty and students, I wish you a blessed feast of St. Francis of Assisi and ask for your continued prayers and support especially during Giving Week!
The society offers a forum to advance your own education by considering the fundamental questions that have animated history. It serves as a bridge between our school and the broader community of individuals and families we wish to serve.
Each new member who enrolls during Giving Week receives a copy of Stratford Caldecotts’s Beauty for Truth’s Sake.
Members (new and those who renew their membership) receive unlimited access to the following resources and events:
We are pleased to offer two levels of elevated memberships:
